There’s a Dearth of Straight Male Sex Bloggers

In browsing about on a Saturday morning, I notice not for the first time that there are many, many sex blogs by women. Literate blogs. Raunchy blogs. Thoughtful, hopeful, yearning, informative, wrenching, explosive, honest, funny blogs. By women. I could make a long list of them and, in fact, I have: I have 26 bookmarks under Adult | Blogs and many of them will eventually make their way into the IntoTemptation.net blogrolls.
Only one guy is represented in that folder — Mark Brooks, who does the Online Personals Watch, which is really not a sex blog at all, but more of an online dating industry news site. There should be some gay guy bloggers in there as well — oops, my bad, and I just added http://www.gaysexblog.net/ — but where are the hetero male sex bloggers?
I search, using Google, and get:
- No results found for “sex blog by a hetero male”
- No results found for “sex blog by a heterosexual male”
- No results found for “hetero male sex blog”
- No results found for “heterosexual male sex blog”
It doesn’t help much to remove the quotes. However, I do find, with a little poking around, from March 2005:
Am I the only male sex-blogger?
… and the poser of the question is bisexual and last blogged in October 2005. Maybe he stopped because he got lonely?
So I’m still on the case — finding straight guys who blog about their sex lives, or lack of them or even who blog about other people’s sex lives. Any help is appreciated.
I realize I haven’t blogged about my own sex life yet. Cut me a little slack, I just got here. And I haven’t had sex in 2009 yet. I mean, not with another person, anyway. Yikes. I wonder what the SMC is up to tonight?
"Into Temptation" is a usually-but-not-always safe-for-work forum about evolving social-sexual networks and how they have changed and are changing lives. It will also loosely chronicle the research, writing and publication, I hope in 2011, of a book by the same name.

I’ll go find Figleaf, then … thanks! I’ve managed to find a (very) few others and I’ll do a follow-up at some point.
I just did a similar search with similar results. My girlfriend and I have been having some wicked sex and a beautiful relationship and I really feel there needs to be more 1st-person straight male literature out there other than the generic FHM/MensHealth stuff. So soon I will be starting a blog, I’ll post the link once it’s up and running if you like.
Straight men are definitely the most out-of-touch with their bodies and sexualities, as well as those of women, speaking in generalities of course, so I’m going to try and spread some awareness.
