Sex Club in the New York Times … Outed by Gothamist

My source of frustration … stems from the taboo that extends, obviously, even to hedonistic New York City. That even Miss Wanda asks that her enterprise not be recognized … that she does not want her real name in the newspaper, associated with her sex club … will say, to many readers, that she is ashamed of what she does.

Which she undoubtedly is not.

Idiotic article in Slate

The normally pretty smart Farhad Manjoo has written a very silly article for Slate that says “The Internet of 1996 is almost unrecognizable compared with what we have today.” Farhad graduated from Cornell in 2000, according to his bio, which makes him old enough to know better.

The Justice Department for the next four to eight years, at least, under Eric Holder and David Ogden, is likely to be far saner about the First Amendment and privacy than was the ousted Bush regime. Ogden, in particular, has attracted opposition from conservative anti-free speech, ant-privacy organizations.
