I really don’t understand how this could have escaped my attention over the last few days, but porn star Stormy Daniels is mulling a run against Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter, whom you may remember for having had his phone number turn up in the records of the late D.C. Madam. Oh, and one of the ladies he used to hang out with let something slip about his fetish for dressing in diapers. How much fun could this be?!

Part publicity stunt, part political psy-ops tactic, the Draft Stormy initiative has already forced Vitter’s scandalous past back into the limelight. The Louisiana Democratic Party denied any involvement in creating the website, but it is not complaining about Daniels’ involvement in the race.

I think a rational observer would conclude that Ms. Daniel’s is at least as articulate as Sen. Vitter, with a better sense of humor.
