Arguments in the Proposition 8 case are today. My bet is that the California Supreme Court will rule, 90 days from now, that the November referendum that banned gay marriage in that state is invalid, but, as we say on the internets, IANAL. (Which stands for “I am not a lawyer,” to disappoint those whose minds immediately wandered to thoughts of bodily orifices.)

My favorite blog for keeping up with Prop 8 news is Hunter of Justice. Nan Hunter is a professor at Georgetown Law School. Also in Australia, Bettina Arndt writes about the semi-inevitability of an eventual  “desire gap” for couples in a column in the Brisbane Times. Men want it as much or more … women want it less. True or false? I suspect the answer is the default: “It depends” … based on my own experience, anyway. But IANAAC. (I am not an advice columnist.)

Breaking News … There have been NO sightings in the media of Virginity Auction Girl Natalie Dylan for … two weeks, and that’s only if you count rants in college newspapers. Are her 15 minutes up, or can the tabloids, the BunnyRanch and Howard Stern resurrect this scam? To do so … I suspect they’ll have to produce an actual bidder this time. Well, they would for me to buy it, anyway.
