Croatian Sex Festival a First
Posted By jss on May 21, 2009
If you happen to be in Croatia on the weekend of June 26, you’ll no doubt want to check out the first sex festival ever held in the country in the city of Rovinj, population 13,562, at a swing club called Anaconda, population unknown to me.
In a smart bid for publicity, Mama Lateefah, the famous Croatian transvestite, invited Croatia’s premier.
Looks like a good time, doesn’t it? The entrance price for one day is 250 kuna, about $47; for two it is 350 kuna, about $66; and for all three days it is 500 kuna, about $95. And you get all this!
Besides simply enjoying that Croatia is sounding pretty damned liberated these days, I’m amused by the list of sponsors of the festival, which includes Pepsi. I wonder if the company lends its name to similar events in the U.S.?
"Into Temptation" is a usually-but-not-always safe-for-work forum about evolving social-sexual networks and how they have changed and are changing lives. It will also loosely chronicle the research, writing and publication, I hope in 2011, of a book by the same name.
