The New York Times reports today — on the front page, no less — that Ma Yaohai, aka “Roaring Viral Fire” in the Happy Village online swingers’ community in China, was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison today for “crowd licentiousness.”

… how else would I know about the late and legendary swinging Manhattan Social Club of Saskatoon, whose owners were quoted in a 1998 Globe and Mail article as saying that “most of their members are farmers who need to schedule events around harvest times.”
Well, of course they do.
